Favorite local “Bang Pae Restaurant” If you would like to test a good Thai seafood, it’s really good ideal to go where the locals go, and “Bang Pae Seafood” is one of the island favorite restaurants where is located in Bang Pae Village, it is a bit far out of the way for most tourists who not regularly visit Phuket, however it offers good test of diner at the real deal.
The fresh local seafood, all dishes are served promptly and at very affordable prices, especially try “Tom Yam Talay” (hot-and-sour Thai seafood soup), Deep-fried tempura shrimp, Stir-fried vegetables with cashew nuts and any other delicious dishes. The highlight of their menu is steamed and broiled seafood dishes with Thai herbs which are delicious too. This outstanding restaurant has a spectacular location with a small beach beside of the restaurant, for kids to run around on or to stroll up and down before or after a meal. There’s a lovely backdrop of mangroves too.

dental clinic bangkokFavorite local Sea Gypsies Fish Market is an attraction by itself. Most of the stands have bubbling tanks and buckets full of live seafood, while butchered samples lied in beds of ice. Prices are pretty similar from stall to stall and are generally set by the kilogram, for instance crabs at 450 baht, prawns of various sizes ranging from 950 to 1,500 baht, cockles for 150 baht, and mussels for 80 baht.
A lot of items have price tags, but make sure you try to bargain hard, anyway it’s all part of fun. Each stall is a family business, with their boats parked by the shore behind them.
Some land really unique catches, including brightly-colored grouper, rock lobsters and even black-tipped reef sharks. The stallholders are generally friendly and some will gladly let you pose with one of the huge, colorful and quite frisky lobsters.
As the market is such a popular tourist attraction, most of the shops boast signage in English, Russian and Chinese. The place is also very popular with locals and most of the preparations available come from Thai cuisine, such as prawns in tamarind sauce, mussels in garlic-chili sauce or whole deep-fried sea bass in sweet and sour sauce. The good time to go is about lunch time when the catch is at its freshest. Tip!! is just ignore the menu entirely and trust the chef’s recommendations.
